CAMRA Branch Hosting Server

Introduction

Mail is the free and easy to use email client developed by Apple for use on iOS devices (iPad/iPhone). Mail comes pre-installed with all versions of iOS and can cater for all different types of Email account, such as IMAP. Here we are going to configure Mail to recieve email from the Plesk Server.

1. Open Settings from your 'home' screen
2. Select "Mail"

3. Click 'Accounts'.

4. Click "Add Account".

5. Now select "Other" from the list of Email Providers.

6. Click 'Add Mail Account'

7. Enter this information when promoted:
• Name - Enter the name you wish for the account to be shown inside Mac Mail.
• Email Address - Please enter the email address that you are trying to add.
• Password - Enter the account password.
• Description - Enter a description for the account (optional)

Click 'Next'


8. We now need to tell Mac Mail the details of the account we are trying to add. Ensure the form is completed as per the below. The first section will be automatically completed based on your responses to the previous screen. Firstly, ensure IMAP is selected from the top of the form.

Incoming Mail Server

• Hostname - Please ensure you enter your Branch Domain in here, such as "hosting.camra.org.uk" is entered.
• Email Address - Please enter the email address that you are trying to add.
• Password - Enter the account password.

Outgoing Mail Server

• Hostname - Please ensure you enter your Branch Domain in here, such as "hosting.camra.org.uk" is entered.
• Email Address - Please enter the email address that you are trying to add.
• Password - Enter the account password.

9. When you tap "Next", Mail will verify the settings and try and connect. If all settings are correct, then a blue tick will show by each of the items.

10. We now need to select what information will be synced with the server. Plesk can only sync Mail items, so please untick 'Notes' before clicking 'Save'
